Heroes and Monsters 2 - London - November 23rd 2024
Heroes and Monsters 2 - London - November 23rd 2024
A day with Gareth Taylor working extensively in creating imaginary worlds for performance capture.
You MUST have completed both the Intro class & the Heroes and Masters 1 class to participate.
The second part in the Heroes & Monsters program. A physical day of exercises with Gareth Taylor exploring professional techniques for creating environments, worlds, props and other characters in your imagination.
One of the most important tasks for any performance capture actor is to fully realise detailed environments that can be interacted with and responded to. Whether it is the extraordinary landscape of Avatar, the cybernetic and digital Oasis from Ready Player One, or the harsh battlefields of Call of Duty, we need to have a consistent method for building rich, detailed and stable worlds in our minds. This class will teach you the skills to do this in a way that goes beyond thinking and into a physical, experiential realm. You won’t need to think about how cold the tundra is, you will already be shivering!
